For generations, top entertainers have performed both in the U.S. and overseas for our troops in times of war and peace. Now the tradition continues for a new generation of talent and viewers with the two-hour special, “America United: In Support of Our Troops,” airing SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

The star-studded lineup of performers and celebrities appearing includes Janet Jackson, Snoop Dogg, Pam Anderson, Toby Keith, Jessica Simpson, D.L. Hughley, ZZ Top, Clint Black, Kathy Griffin, Ne-Yo, Girls Next Door, Toby Keith, Ali Landry, comedian Carlos Mencia, NFL star Sean Merriman, country star Joe Nichols, Jordin Sparks, Sam Moore (Sam and Dave) and more, as they all take the stage around the country and at military bases worldwide.

Featuring popular music, celebrity cameos, tributes to troops and heart-warming human interest stories, “America United: In Support of Our Troops” is an opportunity for the nation to show its appreciation for the troops and military families. The special was produced and directed by an all-star team. Executive producer is Greg Sills ("Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards"); executive producer and music director is Rickey Minor (“American Idol,” “The Grammy Awards”); Bryan Edelstein is executive producer; Michael Dempsey (“MTV Video Music Awards”) is executive producer and director; Tisha Fein (“American Idol”) and Laurie Chapman are producers, and Chantal Sausedo is co-producer and executive in charge of talent.

He made his bones below the Mason-Dixon line, but DJ Drama is heading to Hollywood with his next series of mixtapes. Ok, more like Los Angeles.

“I got a trifecta of West Coast tapes coming,” Drama told XXLmag.com “I got Snoop Dogg’s tape, Tha Dogg Pound, and Terrace Martin.

“I figured if I go to the West Coast, I might as well come heavy, I might as well come strong, and who better to introduce me than the OGs,” he continued. “I’ma go with the veterans and then help introduce Terrace Martin to the scene.”

The Aphilliates top man said the idea for the Cali mixtape series started when he and the DPG announced they would collaborate on a mixtape. Then Snoop wanted to do an individual project, which Drama said would be titled The City Is In Good Hands.

Music from Snoop Dogg’s 2006 album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment will take on a new life, as the rapper unveils his mind state behind the multi-platinum release with an upcoming animated DVD.

The film, titled Snoop Dogg Presents Adventures of Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, will feature an animated version of the Long Beach, California rapper, as he encounters skirmishes, run-ins and situations while traveling through the streets of Southern California.

"The movie will give you something to look at because when I was making this record I was real visual about it," Snoop Dogg said of the animated movie. “I had a cartoon mind while I was making it, so I just wanted to bring that to the light."

Music for Adventures of Tha Blue Carpet will be taken from Tha Blue Carpet Treatment album.

A number of rappers lend their voices to characters in the straight-to-DVD flick, including Nate Dogg, E-40, The Game, Cypress Hill member B-Real and comedians Mike Epps and Katt Williams.

Music videos from the animated feature will be available to purchase through iTunes in the coming weeks as well as Adventures of Tha Blue Carpet Treatment-themed content, which will be available through various mobile carriers.

Snoop Dogg Presents Adventures of Tha Blue Carpet is slated to debut on-demand at www.codeblacktv.com on June 24.
